If you have followed the news, Australia went on terrorism high alert a few days ago and today deployed 800 officers to execute an operation to arrest 15 people connected with ISIS who were planning to kidnap and behead random citizens in Sidney and Brisbane.
This is the terror the “Islamic State” has been spreading throughout Syria, Iraq, and the Middle East. This group claims to represent God. And so I thought I would take this opportunity to quote a few Bible verses about those who represent God and those who are the enemies of God.
1 Fret not yourself because of evildoers;
be not envious of wrongdoers!
3 Trust in the Lord, and do good…
11 But the meek shall inherit the land
and delight themselves in abundant peace.
12 The wicked plots against the righteous
and gnashes his teeth at him,
13 but the Lord laughs at the wicked,
for he sees that his day is coming.
14 The wicked draw the sword and bend their bows
to bring down the poor and needy,
to slay those whose way is upright;
15 their sword shall enter their own heart,
and their bows shall be broken.
32 The wicked spies on the righteous
and seeks to kill him. [sounds like what happened in Australia]
14 Turn away from evil and do good;
seek peace and pursue it.
15 The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous
and his ears toward their cry.
16 The face of the Lord is against those who do evil,
to cut off the memory of them from the earth.
17 When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears
and delivers them out of all their troubles.
18 The Lord is near to the brokenhearted
and saves the crushed in spirit.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
but the Lord delivers him out of them all.
21 Affliction will slay the wicked,
and those who hate the righteous will be condemned.
22 The Lord redeems the life of his servants;
none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned.
